Online NIOS Admission

To get NIOS admission 2020, you are required to fill the online application form. All the documents can be collected before filling the form. Following is the step by step guide to fill online NIOS admission form:

1. Registration: Visit the NIOS official website i.e., www.nios.ac.in. Fill the details and click on the submit button. The next step is to fill the 4 sections, which are: Basic Details, Personal Details, Subject Selection, and Study center selection. Please fill in the details carefully.
2. Necessary details: Details like the father’s name, mother’s name, mobile no., and email ID. Click on “Generate OTP” and verify it. Also, fill the personal details like Permanent Address, Present Address, caste, category, etc.
3. Upload Documents Carefully: All the original ID proofs are to be scanned and upload. Click on the Next button. After doing all this, Username and password will be generated. Keep it safe.
4. Subject Selection: You can select your subjects as per your desired course.
5. Study Center Selection: You are supposed to choose the nearest NIOS study center. A maximum of 3 study centers can be selected.
6. Review: Click on the review button after all the details are filled, and documents are uploaded. Please review everything properly before submitting the form after reviewing click the next button.
7. Payment: You can select any mode of payment. After the payment is made, a fee payment receipt will be sent to your registered mobile number and email.
8. Printout: You must take the print out of the application form and keep it for future references.

Documents Required for NIOS Admission

The records required for admission in class 10^th are:

1. Valid ID proof (Passport, Aadhar Card, etc.)
2. Signature (ideally in Black Ink)
3. Latest Passport size color Photograph (6 Copies)
4. Correct Date of Birth (DOB) Proof (Birth Certificate or Aadhaar Card with DOB printed on it)
5. Caste certificate (a student belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category)
6. Valid Residence proof (Aadhaar Card with a complete address imprinted on it, /Ration card/ valid Passport/Water Bill/Rental Agreement)
7. Class 8th mark sheet or Self Certificate is a must for Class 10th students.
8. Ex-serviceman certificate (if a student belongs to an Ex-serviceman)
9. Fail Mark sheet of last Board, failing which the Transfer of Credit (TOC) marks will not be updated in NIOS result.

Eligibility of NIOS Admission

1. The age of the student must be 14 years on 31^st January 2020 for taking up Block I examination

3. As a minimum qualification, the 8^th standard certificate from a recognized board is required.
4. For secondary courses, a self-certificate of minimum qualification is eligible.

Eligibility of NIOS Admission in class 12^th:

1. The minimum age of the student must be 15 years on 31^st January 2020 for Block I examination.
2. The age of the student must be 15 years on 31^st July 2020 for taking up Block II examination
